Bits From Bytes 3000 Modding

After encountering multiple issues with the BFB 3000 material feed through a Teflon tube we decided to alter the existing top and feed the material directly to the feeder.

Older material or material near the end of the roll tend to break fast, when the material breaks in the Teflon-tube it is a pain to get it all out, specially because the tube goes through the whole system until it reaches the feeder.

We took the original lid off, laser-cut it and then used our plastic-bending machine to bend parts of the lid so that it works as material storage, It worked out very well and saves a lot of time when refeeding the feeder is necessary.
